Paypal confusion en

There is a Paypal confusion with the orders placed on the website with almost every customer I have.

X5, after collection the customer address information, indicates to the customer "order is placed succesfully" before the customer makes the payment.

A lot of people leaves the order at this stage withouth hitting the "pay now / buy now" button thinking order is placed succesfully.

Please correcect this issue ASAP.

Hi Ricardo,

I know, but for some reason people say they don't get the email either. I get the order mail on my end though.

For that reason it will be inevitable keeping the customers on the website, forcing them pay first and then indicate the order process is complete.

Why not tell the customer what to do - see example.

This can easily be done under Advanced settings, shopping cart, order management, highlight paypal, edit email, general and email message tab.

I added the following to the email message which is displayed on completion of order.

On completion of your payment via PayPal we will be advised almost immediately.

Your order will be despatched promptly on receipt of payment.

NB Your order will NOT be despatched until payment is received!
Click the BUY NOW button.

Hi,

thanks, but that still will not resolve the issue. It will be better if the sequence of the order process changed. In fact it will resolve the issue.

The more orders I am getting more cofusion there is. I have to call the customers end explain they have not made the payment, they have to place repeat orders to correct the previous order issue, or I get their credit card information manually.

Of course in the meantime there are some that "changed their minds" about purchasing the pieces.

Hi,

I gues no one else is having problems with this issue. Even "buy it" button conflicts with the process. At least I would expect "pay now" button in order to alliviate the problem.

You can change the wording to suit your liking in Step 1 using the Language Content Management screen:

Please see the screenshot attached for an illustration, where I have changed the text from 'Buy now' to 'Order now'.

Kind regards,

Paul

Hi Pauls,

Thanks, that did help me a lot changing the "buy now" image file with a custom "pay now" button after the order is processed.

Image file was refering to "buy now" gif image on Paypal's site, it is now refering to a "pay now" image on my site.

I did play with the wording a little too.

I hope now people will understand they have to pay first in order for the order to be precessed.
