Just updated to version 12. For some time now I have struggled with getting started in version 11. I just gave up for a long time and started using WordPress. But I want to use X5. There seem to be a lot of unknowns that I would like help with.
As Website X5 has been around for a while now, why are there no tutorial vidoes available?
Even the answer forum is difficult to find useful information. So my question is: How do I get started after the template selection page? The structure of things is not really clear to me.
I'm am sure if I could get a little nudge along the way I would figure out the rest.
Thank You

OK, great! Thank both of you for rising to the request. I will look at your references and hopefully they will be beneficial.
Back from that, please don't be offended by the following.
Simone G.: I've been through the workbook and sorry to say, while it contains the nuts and bolts I could not find specific answers to areas of the program that are perplexing to me. I'll give it another read though. Thanks
Barry Malone: I have seen that video. Severall times. Really is for marketing the program and not for indepth understanding of it. For example where is the explanations on how to utilize this section of the steps?:
See images attached.
I really don't know the source of my frustration. I've used Artisteer, WordPress, Frontpage, built HTML mini sites but for some reason Website X5 is just outside of my comprehension.
Thanks again.
Stanley, unless you wish to, none of these settings need to be altered. ie if you select a template you can simply accept all the defaults and create your website with very little effort. If you wish to fiddle, you can alter your whole site (size, layout, fonts, etc) by changing things as on the "various" pic (step 2 template style)
Step 4 advanced settings is exactly what it says, in other words, you could ignore it, but it gives you the option to improve search engine optimization, have an advert in the corner (sadly only flash), have a blog, set up a shopping cart, etc, etc
Don't overthink the problem - create a website and then use the power of these options to modify it and tweek it to your requirements.
Simone G., I'd also be interested in the more complete PDF guide you sent to Stanley.
I'm a newbie at about the same point in the learning curve as Stanley. I'm doodling with various settings to get menus "just right" before I move on to page creation.
I started with a couple of your templates. Then I decided to try building one from scratch. It's helping me understand what the various settings do.
