MP3 audio file playing on some - but not all devices  en

Hello. Another request for help please.

I have added an MP3 audio file to a page on my website

http://www.rykneldbowlingclub.co.uk/pavilion-extension---2012.html

I have done this using ‘Video/Audio Object’ and the set the Start type to ‘2 – Autoplay’

This works fine in ‘Preview’ and uploads to the Internet with no problem.

When I access the page on the Internet with my PC or with a MotoG mobile phone it works perfectly.

However – when I access it with an iPhone, the audio will not play.

I have run out of ideas – can you help please please?

Hello Malcolm,

MP3 files cannot be rendered on Apple devices such as the iPhone, as Adobe Flash is required for playback and this is not available on Apple devices.

For maximum compatibility with all end user devices, convert your media files to MP4 format.

Please see the WebSite X5 help file for a better understanding of the various file formats, and how they are handled in WebSite X5:

Kind regards,

Paul
