Different page backgrounds for different resolutions  en

Hi, I run the website www.cottonmouth.uk which was built with website x5 evolution 12. I have attempted responsive design - which seems to work as expected. However, I am advised that the background images I have used for the pages interfere with the text on smaller screens and so I would like to do away with the page backgrounds in these cases and just let the template background be used - but keeping the background images for larger screens.  Can I do this?  Alternatively, can I use different backgrounds for different resolutions?  TIA.

Chris,

Unfortunatly this is not possible within x5, you could create an IDEA post for Incomedia to create such a feature in futer updates / releases.

You could try and search for some custom code for background images that relate to size.

I am not sure, never looked for it myself but I can Imagine that they could be found. some coding skills will then be helpful.

Best regards,

Hello Chris

On the "template style" / "responsive template structure", You can on "page background"

choose an image to be used. I have done it on my :

http://www.calendarforum.dk/restaurant/index.html

Try to resize the browser-screen and You will see the background change, when the screen gets small. If this was what You meant, You can do it this way.

Best regards

Thank you for the responses.

John S - I see what you've done there which may point me to a 'work-around' but it won't work fully for me because I have a different image background for each *page* - and its these I want to change.

Andre E - sadly I think you're right and I will have to put in an 'ideas' post.  If I could code a background colour for each page cell though I would be happy with that - in fact it might even be better. I'll have a go...

Cheers, Chris D
