Easier image swap in Gallery Object

When I use images in a Gallery - I include a description and a link. I frequently need to change the image, but not the description and link. Is there a way (now or in the future) that I can just swap the image, without having delete the old image, insert the new image, keyboard the description and the link? The 'Image object' allows for an image swap, preserving the description and link. Could that be added to the function of the images in the 'Gallery object' ?

Unfortunately I am not able to tell you if an when a specific function will be added in the program.
