I have used wordpress and it is a bit too mechanical to operate and see live results. I love to hear other wordpress users with their experience using x5 and what sets x5 a better program to make websites? Thanks

Hello Sean B.,
while waiting for other wordpress users telling you their expirience, I can explain you the advantages of using website x5. First, you can organise and manage your website in a very simple way, as no specific programming skills or html codes are required (you can obviously use it if you want to). Also, you dont have to add plug-in, which is something likely to happen on open-source csm, with the result of slowing your website down. Moreover, with website x5 you have a personalised domain and a free registration to a domain. This means that you do not have additional costs. Finally, you have also the possibility of enjoying free templates as well as many offers. I hope this has helped.
Kind regards.

Not many wordpress users I see!
Hello Sean, I not a WP user. One of my hobbies and interests is website software, although I have a couple of sites to update and make responsive, and have purchased most and downloaded most of the others for review over the last several years.
Recently someone suggested I take a look at WP. So I did along with Drupel and Joomla, read the reviews, looked at the tutorials, checked the forums and the requirements. The bottom line was back to the client side programs like X5.
Here's my take: X5 has regular updates, but it's to fix problems and not the "you better fix it now" WP secuity updates.
One feature I especially like is the site/page manager-map. You have a working visable flowchart of all the levels and pages of your site. This create a menu/nav bar for you. You can change your site and pages around. Your links and menu change as you make your changes. And yes you can preview your site from anyplace your working without having a server loaded as you mentioned.
Lots of templates you can modify and change of course. Better yet, make your own and store it for other projects. Without having to use another app or coding. One minus here, at this time only one template(master page) per project.
I also like the blog feature, you can make and update a seperate site, if you wish, while using the same familar program. Also X5 does have content management, not like the CMS's, but it is there.
Another great feature is on your last breakpoint (320,480 or 600) whatever that is fits to the device screen full width. Also with the pro version you can stack your objects manually in your last column(frame) and decide what will be shown next as you scroll down.
So take a look around, watch the video, look thru the user guide and type in Wordpress in the search box at the top if you have not already. The user guide is very good also. It not only tells you what and how to do, but also explains why you may choose to do something.
Website X5 looks simple on the surface, but it is loaded with features.
I've benn watching since v6 and purchased from v9 on. V13 coming next month will have the native 64bit option! Yea!
Got to go, pick up pizza and home.
Kind Regards - Donald

Donald hope you had a wonderful pizza. Thank you for the great input. I can not wait to tryout the new x5 13. Glad to have experienced users like you to ask for input in the near future.
And - what is very important - x5 is not an online cms, i.e. if there was a hacker attack at your webspace, you can - after deleting everything - upload your project again. Your project is on our computer, you have saved it there and made back ups.
edit:
Your project is on your computer, ...

That is great. I wish the blog could be edited by the client, can it?
