Soundtrack to Classic slideshow in Evolution 13  en

Hi,

I have asked about this before when working with Evolution 10 a couple of yeras ago, and thanks to you I managed to solve the problem then. Now I am using Evolution 13, and unfortunately I have got stuck in the same kind of problem: I want to add music files (which I have saved on my PC - in three alternative formats, namely mp3, mp4 and wav) to three Classical slide shows.

The slide shows works perfectly well with the pictures. But I just cannot get the sound to work. I go to “Gallery Object” and then to “Soundtrack”, and I try to upload the file I want to use. And here is my problem:

The only type of files that I am able to see there are the mp3 ones. I just cannot open any other type. I click on the folder icon, but in the box with file options there is only one alternative, namely “mp3 sound”.  So I try to click on “OK” and one of my mp3-files and the on  “Save” and finally on “Preview” … The slideshow starts, but … no sound. What should I do? (I am still busy working with my side and have exported it to the internet yet.)

Yours

Christer H.

I checked, the music is not played in the preview of the program itself, but plays when you open the project in view of other browsers. And it supports only MP3. And the music began to play quickly, the file must be a mild.

Hello Christer,

The issue is only limited to the preview and once you export it online the file will be played correctly.

Try please to reinstall the flash player plugin on allthe browser you have installed on your computer and once done test the preview with the mp3 file again.

Many thanks!

Hi,

And thank for your for useful help. I have now uploaded my new site (www.brflarkan.nu) on internet and it seems to work alright. But I have on more question (the last one, I hope) concerning the soundtracks to the slideshows. They work just fine with Google Crome and Internet Explorer, but on the iPad with Safari which I just checked, the soundtrack music could not be heard. Is there anything I can do to make it work with the Safari browser too?

Hello Christer,

The iPad is not supporting the mp3 files on the browser and also the autoplay function is automatically blocked.

On these devices it needs to be a separate object (audio vido object) where you use instead an mp4 audio file which is supported.

Many thanks!
