More on my earlier post with subject line - Always getting FTPeS errors

Today - I faced the problem again of FTPeS. I tried the workaround solution posted earlier.

"I looked around for to find how to get the certificate from the FTP host. Firefox has fire-ftp add on. I installed that add-on. Did a ftpes to the site. Stored the exception certificate. Now I had the certificate . Used the Firefox - options - advanced -certificates - view certificates -export . Opened Internet Explorer as administrator. Tools - Options -  Content - Certificates - Import and pointed to the file I had. Used automatically select certificate store as I know no better. "

fire-ftp gave an error this time.  "521 Data connection cannot be opened with this PROT setting." .

I anyhow did the steps outlined above and it worked for me once again . I hope this helps others facing the same problem.

A little bit of google on this error tells me that setting PROT P is the solution to this problem and this is perhaps the solution the websiteX5 issue. I do not have the means to test this solution.

Can someone check this setting ? Please let me know if I can help in any manner . I can set up a site for testing this if required.
