Google reCaptcha is giving "The inserted check word is not correct!" message.  en

I had originally set up this form with Website X5 captcha in Website X5 11, and it was working.  I have upgraded to 12, and then 13.  I wanted to make my website more user friendly by using the Google reCaptcha feature instead.

I set up the reCaptcha site key and secret in Website X5.  After publishing it, the Google reCaptcha feature seems to be working properly, as when the criteria is met, the green check mark shows up.  But when submitting the form, it won't work because it does not pass the form submission criteria and gives the "The inserted check word is not correct!" message.

My assumption is that it is not meeting the Website X5 Captcha criteria which is still in place even after switching over to the Google reCaptcha.

Any ideas?  I am thinking that I could just rebuild the page from scratch after deleting this one, and then the html code should be generated properly, but that is a bit of work to do something and hope that it will work.

Hello Jeffry,

You can try to create a new hidden page where to add a simple form to test if there the google captcha works and in case it works there to rebuild the form object on the contact us page.

Please keep me updated.

I created a new web page, and the same result.

I changed my website to use the Website X5 captcha and it worked.

I changed it back to Google reCaptcha, which required me to reenter my google information and secret, which I re-retrieved from Google's website for accuracy, and it continued to give me the same issue.

I completed deleted all of my website files from the server and re-uploaded, and the issue remained.

So, now I have just left the page using the Website X5 captcha.  Not my preferred method.

I am starting to think that Website X5 keeps code and files that are no longer used, which causes issues like this.  User friendly program, but when making changes, items seem to linger.

Hello Jeffry,

How long ago did you request the keys for google reCaptcha for this domain?

If it's recently it can take time until it starts to work correctly.

Many thanks!
