Problem editing blog details  en

Hi,

I have just done a simple website for an artist who had a number of requirements:

1. An area on the front page to change information about shows.

2. A gallery page for new work in progress to be added.

3. A blog

I did the first two using the dynamic content object on pages and I will add a proper gallery at a later date when I have been sent reasonable pics.

My problem is the blog requirement and getting it to work - I have used the guestbook before on one of my own websites but had to remove it due to the amount of spam it received even with the captcha filter, but have never bothered with a blog before.

I can get the blog working on the website enable the admin view but cannot add blog entries via the site or control panel - I can add the blog items via the x5 program, but that is rather daft considering the idea of a blog.

If I can see users comments on the control panel why can't I edit the blog contents?

Is there something I am missing to enable the website's owner to publish their own blog?

Best regards,

Mark

Hi Mark,

At this time, the user can only post comments in the blog. Move your post as an "idea" , so likely to include in this future update this blog modification option.

Mark, as an interim measure you could set the blog up in Blogger and embed it in the site, this way your customer can update the blog without the need for WX5 and all the source of the project.

Hello Mark,

unfortunately, at the moment you cannot edit the blog entries unless you own the software, I am sorry about that.

In order to solve your issue, I suggest you to use the Dynamic Content for this section as well. Also, as Kris has suggested you, please feel free to write an idea post, so to inform the developers about this necessity.

I hope this won't cause you any problems and I wish you a lovely day.
