Java scripts metatags can't be saved!  en

I am using the Evolution 13. When I try to save a Javascript or a Metatag using  "page properties" -> "Expert" section" under the pull down menu, html or jsp, then save with an "ok" -> "save", these additions do not get saved? However, they retain in the same area when I exit X5 and reload but the actual code is not saved to the page itself. Any idea why they would not save commands to the actual page? Is there some settings I should enable that I don't know about? I am new to X5 so bare with me, please. Thanks

It depends on what you want with the information.

Mete tags should be in the HEAD section, use the pulldown below the file name format (where you select html or jsp, best to set it as html or php) and above the big text field select there that the correct pulldown so that the info becomes in the HEAD section.

The javascript could be also placed in the HEAD section but could also be in the page itself, it depend a bit on the script and what it does.

Normally the site where you got it from tells you where it should be placed, or check there example and see the code of the page to find out your self (use ctrl-U) to see coding.

on the page itself -> use a text or the html object foor the javascript.

This is only set for the page your are in, if you want these codes to work on all your pages use step1 settings, advanced, Statitistics and code -> then same expert TAB.

Again this depends on what you want and where you want it.

small tip use also the F1 function in X5 it gives you a lot of information about settings and places to set code.
