New object - image mapping  en

This is an idea for a new object. The object should display an image and then there was a possibility to make more areas on this image hover"able"  and/or clickable.

The layout should be much like the slideshow.

You have a style-tab where you can specify the image to be used and the proportions for the image.

Then a list-tab.

Here you could have one or more areas.

An area should hold :

- An area on the image either a rectangle or a circle with corresponding coordinates.

- A link ( when clicked )  - with the same possibilities as the link in the slideshow ( URL, popup, Page )

- a hovering - a message and a position where to be shown.

I have made a simple exanple here : http://www.john-schwartz.dk/imagelink---copy.html

I have a more complex example here where it is combined to an accordion : http://www.john-schwartz.dk/imagelink---copy.html

I think this ( the simple example ) would be a good object for people who want a mapped image, but do not know how to map the images. I have seen more posts from people with this mapping-need.

Maybe - if also an accordion object would be awailable a possibility to combine these.

Kind regards

I have made a more relevant example - you can see it here :

http://www.energifremtiden.dk/c4d/accordion-3---copy.html

It shows the mapping to the left, with more  location information when clicked.

To the right yoy see the accordion with the text-information, and more information when clicked.

It is made with 2 HTML objects ( and one text-object in the top )

The one with the mapping could be there without the other object, and the accordion could also be there without the other object.

It is made quite simple with only HTML and CSS and when used on the same page, I have used ID's to connect them, so they can interact.

The two objects could be used together if you want to show some mapping information, and it could also be used to tell information to a floor-plan or so.

Even if the map-object only consists of 15 lines of code in all, then it would be nice to have an object for this, as the mapping with the coordinates then maybe could be easier.

I hope the developers at INCOMEDIA will consider such a feature ( or two - one mapping and one accordion object)

Kind regards
