Version 14 Website Layout Error  en

Hi,

I've just been testing my new version 14 on one of my small websites.  I exported the website from version 12 and imported it into version 14.

When I viewed the website in Preview Mode it looked fine and then uploaded it to the server.  When I view it in the browser (Firefox and Internet Explorer) all the content has shifted over to the left. See here: http://www.thewellnessfoundation.org and the template header is missing.

I then thought that maybe it's an error in transferring so deleted the website on V14 and the server as well as in the folder on my computer.  I then used the same template from the V14 (as though creating a new website) and added some content to it, as a test.  I uploaded it to the server and again the content was aligned over to the left.

Is there a new function I am not aware of or is this an error?

Thanks

Nigel

This I can help you with. Go to object style and set it to "center". I don't know a lot about settings in your project but if yoiu like I can look through it for you. You'd have to export the website and save to a cloud. Once I open it I might be able to help.

Tom.

I suspect you can fix this easily by going to step 2, template structure and modifying the page layout. If you originally had a vertical menu, you could change the structure to header, footer and left sidebar (if you didn't have a vertical menu, the left side bar could be left empty to provide the offset you require?)

Thanks for your assistance Tom and Esahc, but its still not correct. I've played around with various setting of the template.  And like I said on the "Preview Mode" it looks fine but not in the browser.

The website was created with the navigation bar at the top so doing anything with the side bar simply creates a blank space and looks weird. It looks as though the content is going beyond the limitations of the template.

Any other suggestions?

Hi Claudio, I've contacted the hosting company as I'm unable to delete that "index.php" file through X5. It says "550 access denied".

So, I have now gone back to Version 12 and re-uploaded the website with V12 and now the website is showing fine, so I don't think the "index.php" file is the problem.  But will delete it once I get access to it and find out if it's the cause.
