Unfriendly Version 14  en

Author: Alan C.

After using Version 13 and then updating to Version 14, I am finding Version 14 difficult to use when compared to Version 13.

Nothing seems to be logical in Version 14.

Anyone else having this problem?

Are there any friendly guidelines for using Version 14?

Alan, perhaps you could advise just where the difficulties are?

I am currently in the process of upgrading a number of sites without any issues I did not expect. The new menu object and sticky menu are different, but not difficult, and the ability to drop a menu anywhere is a welcome upgrade. The easiest new feature is the facility to add google fonts and therefore guarantee that what we see is what others will also see. The parallax slideshow is also a welcome new toy to play with.

I assume you have read this?

Thanks for your comments.

Here is just one example.

If I add an image to the HEADER, how can I delete that image. See attachment.

Also when I add an image to the HEADER, it does not display the whole image.

Another question please.

If I add an image to the HEADER, how can I stretch it to fill the full with of the page.

I am finding that when I stretch it most of the image disappears and I only see the top part of the image.

Alan, Right Click on the image name and X (delete) is good?

Alan, as Francesco says, in template structure, simply right click and delete just as in V13

In template content (also just as in V13), if you click on the image, handles will appear. You can use these to enlarge or reduce the image, however, you cannot distort or stretch the image in just one direction, the image (and text in a text box for that matter) will keep it's correct aspect ratio.

The ability to stretch and distort images and text in the header was last possible in V12
