Problems converting Website X5 Ev from V13 to V14  en

Before installing V14 I saved the source for my site in V13 according to the instructions in
 https://helpcenter.websitex5.com/en/post/154023

When V14 was installed, I managed to run the app for some minutes. Many images etc were however missing when I looked at the result. I tried to find some instructions fro the conversion procedure on the web but without result.

After a short while, I could not run the V14 application - in stead I got a program error message (in swedish): "The program could not be started correctly (0xc0000005). Click OK to close the application."

Then I tried to start the Website V13 - and now i get the same result, I can not use any WebsiteX5 application! Uninstalling V14 did not help me to run V13.

What do you advice me to do now? Will there be a functioning an reliable version of V14 available or shall I stick to V13. (hopefully I will be able to reinstall tah version).

A similar problem.

Thomas, a quick google search for error 0xc0000005 will point the blame at windows and can be caused by many things, but not to my knowledge WX5.

When searching for a solution be especially wary of any links or program downloads that claim to offer an automatic repair.

This is an example link http://www.errorlive.com/exception-code-0xc0000005

If it was my PC I would first look to see if Microsoft has left System Restore working (I will never understand why updates and upgrades frequently turn this feature off) and if so, restore to a date before the issue occurred. If system restore is not available, perhaps make sure that no recent Windows update caused the issue.

If none of the above is useful I would then check that no malware had made it onto my PC (use malwarebytes, superantispyware, etc). If all is clear it would not hurt to open a command prompt as administrator and run sfc /scannow

WX5 V14 is not / should not be the problem, and it will not corrupt V13, so in my opinion the problem is in your PC either as a corruption in Windows or perhaps even faulty hardware.

If all else checks out, I have found that running chkdsk c: /r from the command prompt as administrator can also work miracles.

Good luck.

If you are still experiencing problems, you could try export your V14 project and create an iwzip, then in V14, import the new iwzip. If problems persist, please create a new post with a screen shot of the error message if possible.
