Hello, I am using WebSite X5 Evo 14. I made a gallery on my home page, but no matter what I do, I can't get the navigation arrows to show.

Setup:

Result:

If I make a horizontal gallery, the thumbnails show up at the bottom, and I can swipe through them (my computer has a touchscreen monitor). But I cannot control the slideshow using my mouse. I have tried everything...your help is greatly appreciated!

You probably check your site on an display with touch screen? In that case x5 switches from button view to swipe view, swipe you gallery or check it on a display without touch screen. Then you will see the buttons

Indeed, my laptop has a touch screen. I don't have an external monitor...is there some way of getting the preview to work around the touch screen interface? Or is that something to suggest to Incomedia as an idea?

No it is not a fault of x5.

The only thing I can think off if you can disable the touchscreen (driver) or use a remote monitor.

But I assure you it will show up. Else try a pc from a friend or at work or any other place just to check.

Try to google for disable touchscreen. for windows I found this one: http://www.thewindowsclub.com/disable-touch-screen-windows-10

But I don't know your operating software.....

But it's just very good work from x5 so this is how it is designed and should work.

You can offcource suggest it, suggestions are always welcome.

Thanks for the responses! Andre, you are correct. I disabled the touchscreen driver, and the navigation handles appeared. Bravo!

For anyone else experiencing this problem, to disable the touchscreen, this How To Geek article explains it perfectly. (I searched it before I saw Andre's response.) It's easy to disable, and you can always enable the driver once you're done testing. Just be sure not to accidentally uninstall the driver!
