Before uploading hold down CTRL when clicking preview.

Upload your site.

Press CTRL+F5 to flush the browser cache.

Im afraid it didnt work! I did think it might have been the cache but its not!

Do you think I might have deleted or changed a file in the project folder??

Andrew, when you upload, are you uploading to the correct folder (normally public_html on Linux servers)?

Can you provide the web address (it could be possible that your old site started with index.html and the new site index.php (or vica versa)

Have you tried a full upload rather than new and changed?

Good Morning,

the web address is www.countryandcoast.co.uk

I have uploaded the full website a few times, but its just the old work?

Its strange as i have a few other websites that ive built and they are fine.

Originally the programme crashed, so the program wouldnt open. So I finally got it open using the backup in the program files. I did as instucted on the tuturials, im just thinking maybe I deleted or moved a file in the program files??

Any ideas,

Thanks for the help,

Andrew

Andrew, when I look at your site it looks great, and according to the code it was created with Incomedia WebSite X5 Professional 13.1.8.23

If it's not uploading your changes though the built in FTP client, have you tried exporting to disk and then using filezilla (free) or similar to upload your site?. The advantage of this is that you can use windows explorer to navigate to the directory you saved it in, find index.html and open it and you will see your site as it should be on the web when loaded.

But each time I want to upload the edits to my site I would have to export the project and upload to use Filezilla.

There must be a simple way to fix the problem, it cant just stop working!!

It is built with v13 pro

Andrew

Andrew, if we can identify what works, then we might be able to fix what doesn't. Can you try filezilla (or similar) and let us know if it works? The problem may not be wx5, it may be a (temporary) problem with your host.

FTP inside wx5 should work fine (it does for other projects), now we have to find out why it doesn't work for this project.

I have downloade filezilla uploaded the website and it still doesnt open.

Forbidden

You don't have permission to access / on this server.

Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request

The index.html is still missing. in both the exported file and upload into the server.

Regards

Andrew

Andrew, if you are saying that on your local hard disk, in the directory you created to export your site to before attempting a filezilla upload there is no index.html (or index.php), then yes there is a major issue.

Is there any chance that you renamed the home page in WX5?

(step3Map, highlight home page, click properties (bottom right), select filename)

I have requested help from Incomedia, but will continue to try assist if I can.
