Purchase confirmation e-mail still not satisfactory  en

From my post in August last year:

________________________________________

"At the moment (V13) when you set up a shopping cart and choose the option to have a PayPal Buy Now button, the button appears both on the payment page and on the e-mail which subsequently goes out to the customer.

This creates a danger that the customer could accidentally pay twice for his item, especially if he doesn't look at his e-mails for 2-3 days and forgets that he had already paid.

Can you please make it possible to have the Buy Now button either on the payment page or the e-mail, but not both?"

I'm very disappointed to see that this issue has not been addressed in V14 which I'm now using. I've had complaints from customers accusing me of confronting them with an e-mail which appears to be asking for payment when they've already paid!

Hi Donald,

I am sorry that the improvement you suggested still hasn't been implemented. However, I confirm that it has been forwarded to the developers, who will take it into consideration for future software releases, together with the requests of the other users. It is unfortunately not possible for me to tell you for sure if and when an Idea will be implemented, still I will personally let you know in case of news about this aspect.

Thank you! Kind regards.

I hope you would agree that it is an important issue. At best, it makes us look unprofessional. I've dealt with dozens upon dozens of other e-commerce sites (like most Incomedia customers, I imagine) and never encountered an issue like this.

Major update released this morning and I'm still having to upload my own modified version of the file with a warning added (see attachment). How hard can it be to remove the PayPal button?

Hi Donald,

I am sorry you Idea has not been implemented yet. Unfortunately, can't always implement all suggestions-there are so many! We try and make most users happy by implementing the most required functions, and I am so sorry your suggestions still isn't among those available in the new version.

Please don't worry: the suggestion has reached the developers, and it has been taken into consideration, so it will be maybe available in the future.

Thank you. Kind regards.

Maybe? This isn't a suggestion for an improvement, it's a request to fix a significant fault!

Hi Donald,

I perfectly understand and share your point of view. The fact is that we unfortunately do not have information yet about a future implementation, therefore I cannot provide you with sure information. I promise that I will keep you up-to-date if I will get some news.

Thank you! Kind regards.

Hi,

I agree with Donald,

It's not an implemantation, it's a correction...

If websiteX5 would be logic, the customer doesn't receive the email confirmation before he paid !

WebsiteX5 is the ONLY software wich is doing that. Incomédia have to be inspired by cleverbridge (its payment partner) and all types of payment in the world !

ALL THE E-COMMERCE PROCESS WILL BE CORRECTED

1 - the customer validates his cart

2 - the customer enters his shipping and invoice address

3 - depend of its address he chooses the shipping he wants

4 - he pays the cart + the shipping cost

5 - the customer receives the validation email

And I don't speak about the GDPR which from may 25 will put all our sites created with websiteX5 outlaws !

https://www.eugdpr.org/

Thanks to Incomedia to move his ass because some of I talk about here is present on this forum since more than 2 years.

Regards

Franck

Hello Franck,

as to the GDPR, for companies this means that they will have to satisfy these two requests:

1)The data of the cart used for the invoice must be kept for 10 years by the the company's Administration or by Accounting department will then store the data.
2)The user must be able to modify his data or delete it, but this does not mean that he must necessarely do it autonomously. It is sufficient to indicate in the website's Policy that it is possible to request the modification or cancellation of the data by writing directly to the company.

If you have any question or remark about the GDPR, please open a separate topic, so we don't create any confusion here.

Thanks. Kind regards.

+1 for Donald's suggestion (or rather bug fix as this is really not a suggestion for improvement but really rather a bug)
