Hello.

When will the Russian version of Evo9?

I tried to edit languages.xml but nothing happened :(

You can add the language content directly using the software from Step 1, you don't have to edit the xml file. If you want we can add your RU translation for the language content in the next update, let me know Wink

I have to check sorry... actually the help file is in EN and only the User Interface is in RU as you can see from the videos.

I have bought Evo9 and consider that there is a problem with Russian sites.

After loading the site, all visitors can see a set of characters instead of text. I asked different people to visit a site - the result was the same.

If they manually select the UTF 8, the text appears.

But for a commercial site that is not possible - customers will not delve into the encoding, they will simply go to another site. EVO8 had no problems with Russian fonts. Was  my upgrade a mistake or is there  any way to solve this problem?

Hi Nikolay, the problem should be related to the trasmission settings of your web space provider who doesn't set it to UTF8 as default. 

Please check this post where a user had the same problem and solved contacting his provider.

Hi. As i understend many users having this problem. I was check languages and Bulgarian, Czech, Danish, Greek, Polish, Russian, Slovak, Slovenian, Turkish, Ukrainian lang. want support windows-1251!!! 

 Can you add in program this function for need lang.?

I think it is simple for Incomedia programers and del this problem.

Hi Alexander, this issue is not related to us but the the web space provider settings. 

If they set UTF8 you can create a website in any language you want. You could also enter different languages in the same text (ie: russian and greek), not possible if you set windows-1251.

Most of russian providers set windows-1251 as default. Websites at UTF-8 therefor look like ieroglifs. The decision  in to set default charset off.

If  your provider use apache server, put in the root catalog .htaccess file with this command  "AddDefaultCharset Off"  . This is the way I solved the problem.

I've download today Russian version for Website V9, but what about russian language for website content? I mean russian language step by step ordering? does it exist? Maybe I did something wrong, maybe didn't instal something?

Hello, the language file is not installed with the update. You need to manually restore it.

Please download the attached file and overwrite it in this folder:

%USERPROFILE%\AppData\Local\Incomedia\WebSite X5 v9 - Evolution

then, restart WebSite X5.Wink

unzip the file languages.zip and copy the file languages.xml in the following folder:

%USERPROFILE%\AppData\Local\Incomedia\WebSite X5 v9 - Evolution

Hello Andrey, please try in this way:

  • uninstall
  • delete the folder %USERPROFILE%\AppData\Local\Incomedia\WebSite X5 v9 - Evolution where %USERPROFILE% should be C:\Users\YourName
  • download and install the full RU version from the Download section here (top right Menu)

Hello Vitaliy, I'm not sure to have understood your question. Anyway both v8 and v9 works with russian charset. In v8 you need to follow some steps to add russian text, but in v9 you can use them directly!
