Shopping cart visibility - entry into cart

Hello,
I´m just creating our new www with e-shop. I really don´t know how to make visible shopping cart ,,button/icon,, on my www. If I put something into the shopping cart and then continue on my www without finishing the order how can I go back to the shopping cart again? I found only one possibility to buy other product. I already installed a ,,Cart status,, on my www but I can see only the total amount without picture and it is not clickable.
I have seen other www created via X5 with workable shopping cart.
Could you please help me.

You can do this in different ways. You can insert an icon in the heading and link it to the shoppingcart, so that when customer click on it, they get into the shoppingcart. You can also make an menu item for the shoppingcart.
