Ivan, before upload, did you do a CTRL+preview, then upload all rather than just new and saved.

Once uploaded you should do a CTRL+F5 to clear the cache in your browser as well.

Hi Ivan,

First of all, what a beautiful site! My compliments...laughing

I went to your site and notiiced the missing images, so it isn't a browser caching problem. Have you tried to re-publish the complete website and not only the changes?

Succes,

Robert

Dear Esahc,

I have checked the website on more browsers (I rarely use) and all browsers showed the same result - missing 2 pictures - well actually these pictures are just not appearing. When You click on the "empty" place, where the picture should be displayed, the picture shows up in gallery, but not in preview. Enclosed is the file, where You can see, what I wanna tell.

To Rbbrt - thank You for the compliment.  I ll try to upload whole site again. Let You know, if that helped.

Ivan - I really think that the problem is related to an incomplete upload (missing pictures here too), but the images that do load are quite sluggish at my end (almost certainly due to limitations with my internet connection?)

Without wishing to sound like an advert, have you run X5 Optimiser across your website? Being graphics intensive it may make a significant difference.

I look forward to your review - either favourable or unfavourable :-)

Hi Esahc,

thank You for suggestions. As You can check the website architektka.eu is functional as expected. I just reloaded it. What worries me is the time of uploading the website. I guess it is pretty long. I have run X5 optimizer but it could just reduced 10% of the total size. Total size of this website is 38 MB, IDK if this is a lot, or just normal, or small.

Now is the part where I have to start optimizing it :-) it s gonna be fun I hope :-) What SEO analyzer do You usualy use?

Thanks a lot for all Your suggestions.

Ivan

Hi Ivan,

This is a really great site - as a Fine Arts teacher I can appreciate the layout (and the work featured) and the overall "feel" of the site. At present it is too wide to fit into my screen (I am using an old monitor) so have to scroll to the right to see everything but this is minor.

I hope you get the missing images sorted out. Sorry I can't halp you with that.

Ivan, I revisited your site and as you said all the images are there and they loaded quite smartly, but it took forever for the parallax background images embedded via row format to load.

I am not sure if these get dealt with by the optimiser, so you may wish to resize/resample them to the width your have set as desktop resolution.

Since you are using version 15, why not turn on responsive as well?

Enjoy!!

Hi,

Wayne thank You, I set up the page to resolution full HD. Mostly the clients interested in services of the architect are using full HD monitors so we decided to do it this way. I m sorry for Your trouble to see the page fully as it could be presented.

Esahc - thank You very much for Your advise. At the moment I m in very far location from Europe so it is very hard to say how difficult it is loading up the websites. My hosting provider checked loading time around 2 seconds so I guess under 5 seconds it could be OK. There are many pictures and the webpage is onepage, architect wanted to do it this way so I did it. As I told You, I put this to optimizer tool and the difference in the total size is couple of kB.

Originaly website was made in version 13, I had some issues with version 14 to load it up so I tried version 15 to finalize it. This websites are not so complicated. It is really just about presentation. Switching to responsive could be next step of development, but for now it is like it is. Thanks for all advises. I really appreciate it.

Have a good one everyone.

Esahc  - well to be honest I already realized when You use almighty optimalization tool - Website X5 optimizer, what You so highly recommend, after optimalization is not functional menu bar, anchors and who knows what else. I don´t care if project is 1 MB bigger and works, I will not exchange it for unknown app that will do changes, which will disable functionality.

If You wanna proof, then send me server to upload both files to compare... before and after.

Have a good one.

Ivan, did you optimise the v13 iwzip or the v15 iwzip? You have already stated you had issues converting from v13 to v14, and so moved to v15. Wouldn't it be wise to try optimise the v15 project?

My experience is the second option yields the best results.
