Wrong Image Displayed In Preview And Upload

Be gentle with me as I am totaly new to this. I have moved from versin 8 to 9 and have started my very simple website again as the template is not available in version 9. I have put seven images (gif) on the home page and they are not showing up in their allocated place. Some are but others are being duplicated from one of the seven. Additionaly they do not appear to be sizing correctly as five of them are the same size but appear different sizes on the page. This is even though the layout frames are the same size and all settings are the same. Any thoughts?

Just recreated the home page in a new project in v9 (ie I did not import a v8 website) and still have the same problem.
Have you simpy tried to save the images as PNG instead of GIF?
I have the same problem but with jpg. I load pictures wit links to url (they where in my web in v8 withput any problem and in v9 I only fulfilled the advance new info) and when I click Preview they do not show any more.
Can you attach here a screenshot so I can see what you mean?
