Ballistic Template for X5 V15?  en

Afternoon All.

I wonder if anyone can help me or guide me please.

Basically up till now, I have been using my Dads genuine X5 V10 to build my websites with and it works great. So last week I thought why not buy X5 V15 for myself as I do use it and would maybe like to explore the additional features/addons the newer software would give me.

So after purchase I imported by web sites, which come over reasonably well I will add. However there is, in my case at least, a missing template. The one I have choosen to use previously is called Ballistic and it is one I would like to continue using really.

I have started to try and make it within V15 and I'm not far off currently, but it's adding additional work/time I didn't really want to spend.

So I was wondering, before I maybe decide to grab a refund and carry on with V10, if there was a way for me to import Ballistic fully for use in the latest program or if it is available to download? I have looked and can't see it so far.

Thanks. Ian

Hello Ian,

It can be difficult, and some templates are hard to get to work correctly with all the new items in v15, you have skipped 4 versions!

Especially with the responsive option the older templates can cause problems.

I would advive to look for something similair or just use basic pictures.

Or try to import the template and see if you can make it work.

in v10 duplicate the template, then select it and export it.

That file can be imported in v15 in the template section.

But stick with v15, it has a lot of improvements, also "behind the scenes" So you wll not only be up to date with new features but also with engine that drives your webpage.

here are also some ideas and help for the version updates that have taken place:

Goodluck, let me know if you have more questions.

Hello Ian,

thank you for your message.

As Andre said, it is possible to export your template from the older version to impor it and use it in the new one. Please find here the link to online guide about this aspect: http://help.websitex5.com/en/v15/pro/modello_ht.htm

I hope this can help you further, and I wish you a lovely day. Kind regards.

Hey Andre E.

Thank you very much for the informative reply, it is greatly appreciated.

In fact I have just exproted the template and imported it into V15, still needs some tweaking but it's not far off, so is a good starting point.

Yes, I had read up on the recent changes and additional features which is one reason that prompted me to buy the new version. Also as I work alone, getting the time to sit down and update a web site to keep it fresh with new stuff I am doing can be difficult. So there idea was to further speed things up and try and implement the blog option, to further have an up to date status if you like along the way.

Thank you also for your reply, it to is appreciated.

I will plug away and see if I can make things better for myself, the main parts are there that's for sure, it's just the tiny things to wrap up.

Ian
