Confused about pdf files  en

Hi,

I am putting sample score pages on the site that I am building in pdf format.

Rather annoyingly I cannot preview the files to make sure that they are showing correctly and need to know if when clicked on they will expand to full page size.

There is a little arrow indicating a pop-up in the top right hand corner of where the pdf will be and when you click on it a new window appears but as I cannot see what is going to show in that window or how big it will be.

Firstly will the pdf automatically open in a new window, and secondly will it be full page or reduced size.

Thanks,

Kevin

Hello Kevin

There is a number of different ways to show pdf-files.

You can use the object for that, or you can use an iframe. When using an iframe, you can have the pdf fill the whole frame, AND the user will have the possibility to have the pdf pop-out of the iframe, and be shown in full page.

Kind regards

John S.

A simple way is to have a link for the pdf-file.

The advanced method is to have a clickable table to show pdf-files in a folder.

http://www.bramminginfo.dk/brm02/side-78.php

Here the pdf will be shown in an iframe when clicked, and then you can have the file to fit whole page or fill out the whole frame.

What you see in the iframe is one way to present the pdf.

You can search the net for ways to present pdf-files.

Hope you were helped by this.

Kind regards

John S.

A tip - you can use any pdf-file on the net to view. This way you can test it all in preview.

Hi Kevin,

Please see http://www.the-carillon.com and let me know whether you want the same basic idea.

If so, I can post another reply that explains what I did to create this result.

Hi Myron A.

Thanks that is exactly what I am looking to do, please let me know how you did it. I am afraid that I am not an expert on web building.
