Yes, I thought it was like this.

The thing is that we have to synchronize sometimes 1000 products and update.

The google translate is not suitable for professional and specialized shops, because the translator is not right most of the times with technical terms.

So my idea is also to make a programme to translate csv files content into English with a database of translated words with search and replace function, every time it finds a technical term in French, it searches in the database and replace with the corresponding word in English, so it will do the automated work for 90-95% of the cases and then an operator will read again the result when import the csv products in the English version.

If think also there is a market for this, as I manage a team of programmers, we could make this program and sell as a solution together ?

There are also other systems you could look for.

You can still use X5 to present your firm, and then use another shopping system to handle the products/shopping.

As the system is mysql-based, you will be able to use a tool as REPORTICO ( http://www.reportico.org/site/index.php )

where you design reports. One report could be a report that creates a pdf-file with the products.

The shopping system in X5 is good for a little firm, where the webmaster is also the owner of the firm.

If you expect more from the system, you will waste your time.

The system cannot even handle instant ordering by payment.

Find another system for the shopping or wait for INCOMEDIA to develop a real shopping system based on a database.

Just checked their doumentation and demo.. Free with a lot of options....

Like Incomedia does not want to update/fix  their payment methods and to keep their customers so it seems really the good way to continue eCommerce with this tool.

And you are correct it takes too long to get updates, and updates have minimal extra's. This is surely a point where Incomedia can take big steps in to making x5 even better.

I am waiting for a filter in the store part, this is something all pro shops have, so you can easily narrow down as customer on the items you look for.

I can't see this in the demo but there is very nice video tutorial on this so it is possible in opencart.

And all this for free, where is the catch?

I will look later to see if I can easily add this to x5. But it looks very nice.
