V16.0.4 Text in text object not visible when doing layout in either header or footer

When a text object was placed in either the header or footer, the text content was clearly visible in v15. This made it possible to size the object appropriately to the content.
In v16 the text content of the text object is not visible. This makes placing text in header or footer a trial and error proceedure.
Hopefully this is an oversight not a feature, if it is a feature it is unacceptable.

I most definitely understand your point.
I took the liberty of testing this again in v15, but I really can't find it possible to display the text from a Text Object in the grid preview, without launching the real preview.
Are you sure this was possible in v15, because I can't seem to be able to find it there either.
Are you sure you're not referring to the Title Object exclusively?

Stefano my sincere apologies, you are correct.
The TEXT object has never shown it's content in layout view. I obviously clicked on TITLE OBJECT by mistake when checking the functionality in v15.
None the less, it would be a nice feature (having just had to finalise a website with many text objects in the header and footer, it has been a trial and error nightmare getting the text object containers the right size).
I will mark your answer as correct (which it most definitely is) and eventually create an idea post to be added to the never never list :-)
