Updated to Professional and now I can't preview websites  en

Can someone please help me.  I upgraded from the current Evolution to Professional and after importing a project I cannot preview the websites.  Would this be a bug in the program or do I need to enable it somewhere?

Also it doesn't work if you open a blank project.  I have not uninstalled Webx5 Evolution and that still works fine but the Webx5 Professional won't work for the preview or QR mobile preview.  It also won't allow me to add a site for the site manager.

Anita, to import your project did you first open it in Evolution, go to step 5, export project, then open professional and select import for the iwzip?

If that is not the problem (and I suspect it is not because new projects are an issue), please uninstall and re-install the professional version. You may wish to click on your profile (top right) and download a new installer from the download link. It should work well, the requirements for evolution and professional are the same to my knowledge.

Please advise how you get on.

As for QR mobile view, I hope it works for you (it does for 99.9% of users), sadly this does not work on my PC due to an issue I cannot resolve.

Hi Esahc,

I originally did as you suggested about importing the file so I tried uninstalling and reinstalling which didn't fix the problem.  I again did one from a new selected template and still doesn't work.

Anita, they never work on weekends, and usually take up to 2 days to respond. Hopefully you are almost next off the blocks. Good luck.

Anita - in light of a post I just read, you may like to try temporarily disabling the firewall and any antivirus/malware protection. If PRO then works you should be able to add an exception.

Hi Anita.

As Esahc, pointer out, the Firewall/Antivirus, would be your first bet in order to get this to work. The new QR functionality can sometimes mess with the preview, and have it blocked by the firewall due to the way it allows smartphone to connect to your pc.

That is absolutely normal, but might require you to either disable it temporarily, or add it as an exception

Try it out and let us know if you manage to get it to work
