"Hover Button" module problem on Mac  en

I wonder if Incomedia tests modules before making them available in WSX5...

I recently purchased “Hover Button” module and used one of it's features in my project.

I have tested it on PC, Mac and mobile phones in most (if not all) available browsers.

I found the problem with Safari on Mac machines (works fine with Chrome). The button option I use doesn’t work! When position the cursor on it, it doesn’t “open”: I use 11 – Rotate Under.

What is the chance that it will be fixed in the nearest future?

Hi Thomas,

thank you for your report.

I've proceeded to forwarding the issue to the developer so that they might investigate the issue with the specifi browser you indicated.

As soon as news is available on it, I will be sure to let you know here.

Also, if possible, attach the URL to your test here, so that I might take a look at that too

Thank you

Stefano

Hi Thomas.

I've received word from the developers.

I would need to ask you, if possible, to provide a video of the error occurring on the device you mentioned, as well as details on the current MacOS and Safari versions.

Your buttons specifically were tested on a Mojave  and High Sierra installations with the latest Safari running, and both of those didn't present any issue online

Please keep me posted on this so that I might investigate further

Thank you

Stefano

Hi Stefano,

I cannot provide you more information, since I do not have access to Mac computer. I asked my relatives to test things remotly, and got information that now (v17) my webpage on Safari is all wrong. Looks like all code added to it (KolAsim's code to make the background looks right on all devices) either is not being executed at all or executed in the wrong way. You can try this version. The Hover Buttons are on SELL page.

It was tested on OS X Yosemite 10.10.5, and Safari 8.0.8 (10600.8.9).

Hi Thomas.

I'm not really sure about the issue mentioned with the Hover Button specifically, since it seems to be working alright in a more modern version of the browser, but the Safari version you mentioned worries me.

CSS Grid support was added to Safari from v10.1 and so on. It might be probable that the website won't look correct in any case due to the unsupported technology then.

A more modern browser should do the trick, even though Apple won't probably update its browser on the older version of their systems, which will most surely force users to make use of an alternative such as Chrome in order to correctly display v17 websites

Let me know if I can provide more information on this

Thank you

Stefano

Thank you, Stefano, for your involvement.

I think I'll have to live without Safari... Unfortunatelly, I have no access to Safari version better than 8.0.8. Thanks again!
