I've just purchased a new computer to replace the one that I am currently using. What do I need to do to install on the new PC? I will be discarding the old PC. I would add that I currently have X5 installed on my laptop. Will that be a problem? Will all of the automatic updates to V17 happen automatically?

The first step is to create an iwzip of every project on your old PC
Next (on your new PC) go to your profile (top right this page) and select download to get the latest version (you will also find your license key there if you need it)
Install WX5 and import each project to ensure it works as expected. You should have no difficulties even though at this time you will effectively have it on 3 PC's (don't use the laptop at this time :-). Updates will happen automatically, but you will need to visit optional objects
Update and install any objects not already on your system.
Before decommissioning your old system, don't forget to copy any source files used in the creation of your projects in case you need to re-use them, and also revisit any earlier versions of WX5 to ensure you haven't forgotten any old projects which may come back to haunt you. Create an iwzip of each and then on the new PC you can choose whether or not to install the old versions of WX5 as well.
Of course a simpler way is to install WX5 and simply copy the whole Incomedia directory to your new PC into the documents directory, this is simpler but you can come to grief if the directory structure is not the same or if there were unknown issues in the old structure.
Hi Andrew,
please follow Esahc's detailed suggestions, I will be at your disposal in case you needed any further help.
Kind regards.
