Hi,

On 12/29/2018 the website software has stopped working, now it is crashing every five minutes.  When I add content the whole program stops then I need to shut down the program and start it again.

I am running Windows 8.1.

Never had the problem before.

Is the problem only with one project or multiple projects? If unsure can you create a new project and see if is stable?

Can you check Windows to see if there was a recent update (perhaps system restore to before update could fix the issue)?

If problem persists (and assuming that all projects are running local and not across a network or saved on external drive) can you (temporarily) disable or uninstall any 3rd party firewall, antivirus, malware or vpn and make sure  one drive is not running.

Just did as you said to try a different project and there were no issues.  Started the project that had the issues and they're still there.

Thanks

Question is there a way to salvage my project?

If you are lucky, go to step 5 export, export project. Now open wx5 again and select import, find and select the iwzip you made (this will NOT overwrite your existing project).

This has been known to fix issues.

If this fails, please advise what you are doing when it crashes (working in header? manipulating a menu? modifying one particular page or object on a page?)

Hi,

I tried your method but still having the same problems.

What I am doing is working on the home page adding content either HTML or TEXT I get the same results crashing but for other pages, there are no problems adding content.

The problem is with the home page I will reconstruct it and see what happens.

Hi Darryl.

If reconstructing the homepage fixes the issue, please let me know.

If it doesn't, do you perhaps get an error window at crash time? If so, is there any specific error mentioned? It could be helpful if you could attach here a screenshot of that, just in case.

Please keep me posted here

Thank you

Stefano
