How not to show up in google

I have a website that is just for family/friends. Is there a way I can keep my website from showing up on google , bing, and other search engines? I basically want only the people I share the link with to see it

If you only want to prevent the entry into the search engines, you can make the corresponding entry in robot.txt.
Read the website X5 help for robot.txt (with link to google)
If you also want to protect the page for general access, you can protect the directory au the server with user name and password, so only access to who has the access sadtes can.
