I upgraded from evolution 12 to the new X5, I can see many differences and need alittle more help. Whereas with the previous version I could actually see the sitemap and view what the search engine see's when indexing. With X5 I can't see/locate the sitemap in the software, but can after I send it to google.
Why is this?
How can I see/locate the sitemap without giving it to google? Where is it? I would think that it was fall under the category of 'Special pages'.

sitemap.xml for search engines, is still in place (if activated in the project), however, the page imsitemap.html is no longer available.
We have assembled these for us from menu objects.
An example: https://www.plocher-produkte.ch/imsitemap.html

sitemap.xml helps google, bing, etc navigate and index your site
imsitemap.html helps the user navigate your site. You are not alone in wanting this.

Hello.
"How can I see/locate the sitemap without giving it to google? Where is it?" - do as Esahc advised in a previous post. Upload website to hosting. To see the site map before it is sent to Google, add "sitemap.xml" after your domain. For example, "https://your-domain/com/sitemap.xml".
Or upload the site to disk and in the root of the folder you can see the file "sitemap.xml". Perhaps its contents will look better in something likeNotepad++.
(It > En) ... the HTML imSiteMap file is no longer present in the recent versions of the program ...
... you could do it very easily with the Text Object ...
... or if you are an expert you could still get something very similar with directorty list server side (.htaccess), or with PHP code ...
...> example 1 (.htaccess)
...> example 2 (PHP)
... if you are an expert and if you are interested in one of these results, please advise which one, so I will place the code ...
