Page tab scroll in mobile view not working  en

Author: Andy A.

I have a page with Meet the team and this is in the form of page tabs with each team member on a page. My problem is that in small mobile mode the page scroll arrows don't work so I can only see 3 of the 19 pages as it won't scroll. This works on all other screen resolutions. The resolution in question is set to smartphone lower than 480 pixels. I am using the latest version of X5 2019.2.5

Any suggestions please ?

Thanks

Andy

Hello Andy,

Can I ask which browser(s) you have noticed this behaviour on when using a smartphone?

I noticed a similar issue with tabs last night: it appeared to affect Chrome but not Firefox.  I'm still investigating.

I'll mark this thread for Incomedia's specific attention.

If possible, can you post a link to your site?

Kind regards,

Paul

Hi Paul.

This was in the X5 preview when checking the resolutions.

link to page in question http://www.amwarkup.co.uk/meet-the-team.html

I have just shrunk the window in Edge, Internet Explorer and Firefox and this has the same effect, page scroll not working...

Thanks.

Andy

Confirmed, Andy...  it's not working on my smartphone either.  There is clearly an issue with the tabs.

I think other viewports may be affected in different ways too, as the problem I noticed last night was at desktop resolution.

We'll see what Incomedia have to say.  Unfortunately we're unlikely to get a reply before the start of next week, but rest assured they will respond in due course.

Andy, I too have confirmed that at mobile resolutions the tabs fail when they go horizontal, but if you would like an interim workaround whilst Incomedia get around to fixing the problem, just go to step 2 Template, Resolutions and add a new resolution of 320.

320 - 480px will display on 98% of mobiles with the tabs remaining vertical (it's a little squeezy, but at least it works).

You may wish to check page layout at 320 for the very few with old small mobiles.

(It > En) ... try if it works with what was suggested to you ...
... then, if you are interested in an extra temporary solution for the Expert section of the program,
you could try my invention to allow the scrolling of the TAB section in the smartphone ...
... possibly warn me to go into the merits of the matter, (because I don't currently have the program), ... otherwise ignore my message...wink

hello, ciao

Good day everyone

I've verified the issue you mentioned with the vertical tabs specifically and I can confirm that the issue is definitely there.

I have notified the developers of this so that the matter can be investigated further. I'll keep you updated here when news becomes available

Thank you for your patience and for the time dedicated to analyzing the problem

Stefano
