E-COMMERCE IMPROVEMENTS - REQUEST #2

REQUEST #2 > The Wish List

I believe I do not have to explain the importance of having the wish list in a successful e-commerce web-site.

@ Incomedia - this is not something which is hard to do (for web-shops using the database) and would improve your e-commerce solution significantly.

Hey Elisa,

https://helpcenter.websitex5.com/en/post/215719

And nothing ....tongue-out

So to do money and just money is well... but listen YOUR customers should be nice too.

OK I know your preferred answer when it's not a copy/paste from a user's answer ... "You have forwarded the request to the development team, and you go back ...bla bla....

I got you - thx!
But, my posts have nothing of that sort: they are not off-topic nor abusive... cool

I chose this program because it is good - the frustrating thing is that it could be MUCH better / MORE useful with a little engagement-efforts from the developers...

I'm not asking for impossible things - I'm quite reasonable...

Yes Tom. You are right...

When Incomedia has no solution and because users are not happy , angry, up set ,and they post too many complaints ... so Generally incomedia block the post into Private with NO ADVICE because they have no answsers, no solution.

They are the KING of Universe webtool design !!!!!

NO ?

AGAIN: I am waiting the next release regarding GDPR fixes.... Hihihi

And if NOTHING is done, You can trust me .... I will do a lot of noise ...

GPDR conformities are mandatory since May 2018 !!!!!!!!!!!! and our requests are not fixed...

But Incomedia seems incompetent to fix that on time.... Stefano's explanations are always: to complex core working to do modifications.... you cannot imagine the impact in all software...

Si si Stefano... I can imagine....

my_password = md5(my_password) just enough to encrypt the password and nothing to change inside the core of the product...

And for checking : easy

if (md5(my_login_password) == (md5_password_read_into_db) {

   OK_nice();
}
else {
Bad_password ();
}

To complex !!!!!! for dev team.... foot-in-mouthfoot-in-mouthfoot-in-mouth What is this dev team !!!!
Bullshit Incomedia answers..

because it enough, my lawyer has all infos in his hands.
Wait and SEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE !!!

It's a standard response. They qualify these kinds of posts as “clearly provocative derision”. And this is good enough to make it private. We'll see...

@ Axel - you're right... the thing that bugs me the most is no reaction from the rest of the X5 users...

By reading this form - some could think there are total of 10-12 X5 users lest in the world!

I get why they are eager to produce new templates, new add-ons -its their additional income stream...and I'm OK with that.

But I cannot get, why not investing a week of work in fixing important stuff people report here - and turning the PRO version into a very competitive professional software?!?

That way they will attract more users - and they can even without any problem - raise the price.

I would happily pay 200 EUR more for the licence - if I would get what I really need.

Now my company has a software which is good if you need a personal /amateur web-shop...but nothing more...it's a shame!

The funny thing is - if I was the Incomedia's CEO - there would be a gigantic wave of layoffs for not reacting to the user genuine needs.

Hi Sinisa,

as I mentioned in some other Idea posts you have reported, all your suggestions (and the other users' of course), are always reported to our developers in order to be taken into consideration. Still, you must consider that implementing new features is a task that necessarily takes some time, because it involves decisions to be taken not only at a technical level. Moreover, we also receive a large number of requests on a daily basis, which is also something that requires a certain level of selection, as it would be very difficult to implement all the features requested.

I do understand that the E-commerce is an important part of WebSite X5, and of sure it could be improved. Unfortunately I cannot provide you with more information regarding the timing of a possible implementation, but what I can do is to bring the attention back to the reported suggestions.

Thank you a lot for understanding. Have a nice day

Again, thank you for your reply!

Elisa, I had my own software (accounting) from 2000-2010 - and I know first hand that reacting to the user's requests takes time and energy.

I had a team of 3 people - and its not easy to reply to all the issues posted. I get that.

But, I have found some over a year old e-commerce related posts of important stuff still unsolved... (i.e. VAT calculation by country).

I'm not pointing out to the stuff that I wish X5's e-commerce would have some day - I'm pointing out to the things which are necessary for me to finally finalize my project!

And, btw, I'm not asking your team for a complicated, hard to implement updates - I'm talking about the implementation of things which could take 2-3 days of IT work (with testing).

It will certainly takes less time than creating a new web-site template...

Elisa, in hope that you could "push" solving of "my issues" to the IT crew - I'm wishing you a nice day!
