Hi

My old PC broke down.

I have reinstalled Website X5.

But how do I import my webpage (that is made using Website X5) from the internet, so that I again can edit it?

Hello Kristian,

I am sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but unfortunately this is not possible.

WebSite X5 is an HTML generator -  it does not work with raw HTML files downloaded from the internet.

The only way to recover your project would be to use an IWZIP backup if you have one (these are created in Step 5), which can be imported back into WebSite X5.

Going forwards, it is very good practice to export a WebSite X5 project regularly in Step 5 as an IWZIP file (this contains all your project data in one single compressed file), and to store copies of this file on at least two different mediums (for example, external hard drive, USB drive, cloud).

If you don't have an IWZIP backup then you can speed up recreation of your old project by copying text, images, etc. from your existing online site into new Text & Image Objects in WebSite X5.

Kind regards,

Paul
