Download Button in case of reloading  en

When I reload a website, how can I continue the download button counter with the current value. Do I have to clear the setting? What do I have to do to avoid resetting to an older value?

Since I am just preparing, I cannot provide the example yet.

Hello Michael

The download counter starting value, can be set in the objects setting. You can also here set values for color and so.

The counting is afterward set automatic. If you set a new value to this counter, then this will be the new "starting point".

Some users would like to set a value other than 0 or 1.

If you have a site in production, and you have a download button, then you might want to set a high value for a start, so people that downloads should not think : " No one has downloaded this stuff yet - so maybe it is not good stuff - I will not be the first to download".

If you set a hiogh value from start some people would maybe think : " wow - this must be good stuff as so many have already downloaded it already - I will download at once".

The button knows the starting value and as long this is not changed, then the counting goes on.

If the starting point is changed then the counting is "reset" and starts again from the new starting point.

You could make a simple test. Make some dummy-downloads on the uploaded site.

You should see the counter grow.

Make a new upload of your site, and you should see the counting continue from where is is/was.

Then change the counters starting value in the setting for the object, and upload the site again - you should now see the counting start for the new value.
