I can not open locked pages  en

I have some problems getting a locked page work as it should.

I have the latest WS X5 Evo and Win10, latest update.

I have used the manual to lock one page in the map section. Next, decided which people should have access to this specific page, trough registration in the Access Management. First and last name, e-mail address, and manually given each one a password. Then choose from the map section, which page they will get access to (entrance page).

In the Preview, the login side is shown, and everything seems OK. Then, when uploaded and try to open the locked side, I got the error – Forbidden. You don't have permission to access this resource. Apache/2.4.25 (Debian) Server at www.fvv.stavern.no Port 80

I must have overlooked something, but I’m not able to figure it out.

According to the manual, the administrator should have access to everything, also locked pages, but I have no access to the locked page (in the normal webbrowser). Why? (as a afterthought, how do I log on as admin, or how do the system know im Admin without me logging on)

Can someone give me guidance on these problems?

Regards

Karsten

Karsten, assuming the rest of your site works as expected, can you check the version of PHP provided by your hosting is 5.6 or greater?

You may also wish to provide the url of your site so we can assist?

Hello.

"According to the manual, the administrator should have access to everything, also locked pages, but I have no access to the locked page (in the normal webbrowser). Why?" - Perhaps you are now logged in.

"as a afterthought, how do I log on as admin, or how do the system know im Admin without me logging on" - If you are trying to access a locked page, then you should see the login form instead.

A locked page must have a PHP extension.

"can you check the version of PHP provided by your hosting is 5.6 or greater?" - I agree. I recommend PHP 7.2.

"Can someone give me guidance on these problems?" - I have paid video tutorials in which I show in detail how to set up a closed page. Also there is a lot of other information.

Hei Aleksej.

Url: https://www.fvv.stavern.no
Can you try access this and see if you get any wiser.

After we upgraded to PHP for webhotel the https came with a sertificate that is valid i see.
But WSX5 when i try upload project, now tells me  the path is not correct anymore. We have not changed anything. the folder where to upload was named /www and we tried with and without the '/'. In addtion the "Path" i set to "https://eur04.safelinks.protection.outlook.com/?url=http% --- and a whole lot more including fvv.stavern.no"  I am not sure i want to paste the full link  in here ?

besides this we've tried php 7.3 and are now on 7.2

We have also removed any 'locked' pages

Hi, we also figured out if i type fvv.stavern.no/index.html then it comes up okey.

isp have enabled php errors in the browser, and he could tell us that it was pointing to the index.php.
If we deleted/renamed the index.php it should automatically use the index.html, this would then fix the problem.

Will it be so that if we delete/rename the index.php on the www/root on ISP, then WSX5 will not create and send new index.php ? (this will generate same issue )

Any thoughts ? ;) Thanx

Thanks for your quick answer Aleksej.

After an update from our ISP to get PHP, the system will prioritize the index.php over the index.html. How is it that the site shows correct when we type fvv.stavern.no/index.html at the end of the URL?

If we just type fvv.stavern.no (or if we add /index.php then it fails). How do we update this in WS X5 so that the webpage shows correctly like when we add /index.html at the end?

In addition when we try to update site via 'upload' in wsx5 the path https://fvv.stavern.no/index.php will let us update and upload any changes done to the site.If we let the text be as it was with http://fvv.staver.no/index.html it gives an error, and files will not be updated on the server.

Any idea?

Regards Karsten

"How is it that the site shows correct when we type fvv.stavern.no/index.html at the end of the URL?" - I still see your site on "https://www.fvv.stavern.no/index.html". I also see it at this address "https://fvv.stavern.no/index.html".

Create a ".htaccess" file in the root folder of your site. Or open it if it is already there. Put the following code there:

RewriteEngineOnRewriteCond%{HTTP_HOST}^www.fvv.stavern.no[NC]RewriteRule^(.*)$https://fvv.stavern.no/$1 [L,R=301]

Redirect 301 /index.html https://fvv.stavern.no/index.php

Redirect 301 /ifvv.stavern.no https://fvv.stavern.no/index.php

The first line redirect from the www version to the version without www.

Second - from fvv.stavern.no/index.html to fvv.stavern.no/index.php.

Third - fromifvv.stavern.no to fvv.stavern.no/index.php.

This may not work. Sometimes it depends on your hosting. You can check with them for the exact rules.
