Version 2020 PRO Demo  en

Author: Myron A.

I just downloaded the X5 2020 Pro DEMO version so that I could evaluate the latest software. I tried to open a website that was created in v.16.

An error message appeared that stated my project could NOT be opened because it was created with a NEWER version of X5 Professional!

What a joke!

Incomedia needs to re-evaluate what they are offering with regard to TRIAL software.

G'day Myron, how about purchasing and then asking for money back within 30 days if it does not live up to your expectations, at least you can then bring in all your projects and have a proper play so you can make the correct decision?

BUT

Please wait until after the release of v2020.1.8 (a number of users are having major performance issues either with or without a shop, this appears to be resolved in the beta).

Hi Myron, that's strange. Can you send me a screenshot to better understand?

The demo version cannot open old projects because it is limited to 10 pages only.

Hello Steve,

Attached is the screenshot you requested.

The Website I'm trying to open with your DEMO version is only 2 pages.

Very disappointing.

Hello Myron, I confirm you what I told you in my prev post: the demo version cannot open old projects because it is limited to 10 pages only. It doesn't depend on the number of pages, the demo version cannot open those files.

About your screenshot, I don't understand because you should see the project version and not a date.

How do import the project, because the Import button should be disabled in demo version?

Anyway, I suggest you to create a new project at all, especially if it contains just 2 pages, because version 2020.1 has a completely template creation process vs version 16.

Let me know, Steve.
