SITEMAP QUESTIONS
Author: DENNIS S.I have 2 sitemap questions:
1. I installed an SSL on my site. Is there a way to change my old sitemap to reflect the new https index and page names? Is there anything I should do in X5 Pro at this time? I know I have to update my sitemap in Google Search but what' the best way to handle this matter?
2. When I look at my sitemap I see all the page names crunched up in text form that does not look professional, but I guess it's OK for search engines. For a site visitor who wants to look at my sitemap, it is not a good look. So, I'm thinking I have to start a new level, add a page called sitemap, add the page names with links to the pages, and design a better looking sitemap page for my website visitors. Now my question, I have a large website, so is there an easier way to do this in X5 Pro?
Thanking all in advance for your help.
Dennis
The function of the sitemap is only for the search engines, they will find wjat they need, so you don't have to do anything accept keep an eye on pages where you don't want it to be index to set the sitemap to off in that case.
The function for the site map to show up as webpage has been deleted al long time ago in x5 because it was outdated and hardly used. if you set up your menu correct and or use the search everybody should be able to find what they are looking for. The tag keywords on your pages will help visitors alos, or better said, search engines end in the end visitors.
If you realy want a site map, you must make this as page with links manualy, but if you have a lot of pages it's a lot of work.
There are some websites that offer a webpage from your site to create a webpage but these need all accounts and most are payed.
I would take care of a good menu and a search.
Wouldn't it be great if Incomdia would address this failing

OMG, chase computers I totally agree. Why is it that a tech ticket was not submitted to have this feature brought back. I'm starting to realize that after buying this software (which I love) is not very SEO friendly at all.
Sitemaps are much more user friendly than searches .. as evidenced by trying to search in the community. It never goes directly to your keywords.
C'mon Incomedia bring back the imsitemap. This is also another request to bring this feature back asap.
