Program update failure

I update my Websitex5 pro to the latest ed today and my current project cannot open now?
It can only be some error with the latest update, my pc was off and I've never had file errors.
It says " There is an error in XML document (0, 0) "
Please assist.

It looks like the project is damaged.
try to open a backup, select the project then press the backup button and try to restore one of the backup's
