In V9 It Is Not Possible To Freely Rotate Images In Image Editor.  en

Another problem with V9. In the image editor it is now not possible to freely rotate an image. In V8 it was possible to rotate an image to suit your own requirements, and in my original website most of my images are rotated 45 degrees. This causes me a big problem now after updating to V9. In new software updates can we please have the same functions available as the previous versions, otherwise it is not an update and you must start from scratch. At the moment i am close to abandoning V9 and returning to V8. In my opinion V9 is less transparent and harder to navigate than V8 and all the new features (if that is what you call them) is not worth the extra money. Regards Richard.

Dear Richard,

you can rotate your images as much as you need to, with the new easy-to-use image editor! Let me explain:

Let's say for example, that you have added the image with the image object. So we are in Step 3 - Image object. On the right you will se your image preview and below a button called ''edit''. If you click on this button, you will enter our image editor section.
In the ''effects'' tab, you will find the ''rotation'' option amongst all the other effects and below, you can rotate it as much as you wish by dragging the anchors along the line.

I'm sorry you are dissapointed, WebSite X5 has been thoroughly improved and we keep working on it every day in order to please all our customers. Please feel free to ask whenever you are not sure about something and we will try to help you as soon as possible.
Futhermore, if you haven't already found it, you can download you manual from the top right corner of this page, in the section called ''download''. This could help.

Dear Samantha,

many thanks for the information. I actually discovered this after i posted the question.  However what misled me and will probably mislead other users, is that in Step 3 / Image Object / Edit, the opening window (Crop and Rotation) shows the original rotation posibilities (as in V8) without the possibility of "free rotation".  I understand now that this has been moved to "effects", for whatever reason)  but there should at least be a hint that "rotation" possibilities now occur "twice" in the image editor.

Regards Richard.

My pleasure!Smile

Yes, this has been done because the ''free rotation'' is an ''effect'' we have added to the new version therefore we have put it into the effects list.

I'm glad the issue is now solved and thank you for your suggestion. If you could be so kind to post an ''idea'' for our WebSite X5 creators, I'm sure they will appreciate any suggestion you can give them.
Enjoy your program!
