Change Options' Dropdown List number of options presented

The Options dropdown list shows up to 20 options; is there a way to specify how many are displayed in the box at a time - I want a shorter list like maybe 5 or 8 - when the list opens it drops down into the next object looks terrible.

I confirm, as Kris stated, that the options are all automatically reported according to how many you have inserted in the Option section of the Product Settings window.

Correct, but I enter 20, and I want only 5 to show with a slider so I can scroll through and see all 20.
