Hello Mandar,

The images in the first website may well be higher resolution/definition, but that comes at an extremely heavy price.

If you compare the size of both webpages you will begin to see what I mean:

Without WebSite X5 - greater than 8MB

With WebSite X5 - around 1.5 MB

The davaindia site takes a long while to load for me, which will probably have something to do with the increased file size(s).

Ultra high definition images and fast, nimble websites are mutually exclusive.  You can either optimise for picture quality, or you can optimise for search engine ranking, but not both.

If you want to increase the resolution of images in WebSite X5 then be sure to set maximum image quality within the software, such as the setting below:

And don't select the option to reduce image resolution when exporting:

Kind regards,

Paul

PS: an alternative method would be to upload each high-resolution image to the server via FTP, then link to each image using HTML code from within WebSite X5 (as opposed to using the Image Object or Gallery Object).  In this way WebSite X5 will not compress or process the images at all.  However, in my humble opinion this is not a good idea as you would lose the many benefits which WebSite X5 can offer in terms of responsive design, etc.

If keeping the images within WebSite X5 itself, then ensure that the Image Optimization feature is switched OFF...  i.e. set to 'None':

Thanks Paul M.

I didn't find options you suggested in Settings > General.

I can see some different interface as below.

You'll find that option at Step 1 Settings > Advanced > Website Optimization, SEO > General

So go to the Advanced tab in Step 1 Settings rather than the General tab
