Photo corners are broken in latest 2020 version  en

I have been using x5 for years. I inserted some photos into the 2020 version and then tried to round the corners and nothing happens. I went back to version 11 and sure enough, it works there but not now. This is a problem with Image Element and Content Slider Element as well.
Also as an aside when you round the corners in Table the corners of the table poke out beyond the corner. Not a problem if you want to turn off borders in Tables.
- Page
- Select Image element
- Style
- border(change corner)
nothing happens
----------------------
Interestingly sometimes if you extend the cell right to the edges of the page the rounding kicks in...

---------------------
Example URL - The very first photo of the girl on the high ropes should have a corner.

Hello Wayne,

I may have misunderstood your issue (forgive me if that is the case)...

In version 2020 the Style button you refer to sets the properties for the 'cell' that the Object sits in.

To round the corners of an actual photo in version 2020 you would instead need to go to General tab of the Image Object properties, click the 'Edit' button under the image Preview, then apply a Mask to the image.

Kind regards,

Paul

Thank you - I can see this is a great alternative way to do this except the masks provided by incomedia scream I want my flared jeans back as they are so out of date. They don't work well with the current design of colour blocking. I can see a button marked Custom for the masks - any idea what format incomedia wants the custom mask to be in for it to wor? There is nothing in the help file that I can find. Nor even any mention of how to grab the better more subtle masks from earlier versions of x5 and to transfer them to the most recent version.

Wayne, since you previously use v11 you can go and get the older style masks from there for use as custom masks. You will find them in (normally) C:\Program Files (x86)\WebSite X5 v11 - Professional\Res You should easily find the masks you were previously using.

Looking at the various masks available in the Res folder will also show you how to create your own.

thank you so much Esahc, That is the perfect answer - looked in every other folder but res to me is normally the reserved folder so didn't even open it - how dumb.
Yes problem solved. Thank you. Would be nice to have some documentation in x5. But this forum is brilliant as well. Thanks mate. Kind Regards Wayne

Glad your problem is solved (not happy with the new masks myself either). For what it's worth I am local to you (I am near Phillip Island), if you are ever exasperated give me a bell, details at https://esahc.com :-)

Please frequent step 5, export project and create an iwzip of each of your projects. This creates the perfect backup (it can be renamed at time of creation to include date or whatever so you have multiple fall back positions). Unlike the built in backup it includes all source files (including your chosen custom masks).
