Hello

I have a problem upgrading from 2020.2 to the brand new 2020.3.

When I load the project created on 2020.2 - as i am supposed to - its simply thinking, and thinking for 2-4 minutes and the I has made a (backup)-copy from the project - but in the old version.

What do i do?

If you go to your profile and select downloads you can download v2020.2.6

This version has now been modified to allow the versions to co-exist.

My recommendation is to open in the old version then go to step 5, export project. Then open v2020.3.3 and import the newly created iwzp file.

I`ve tried that, but the result is the same - version 2020.3 just creates an copy (backup) and in the bottom it says versio 2020.2.6 and not 2020.3.

Per, you must open WX5, select import, locate the iwzip you created and select next (green arrow0.

Did you do that?

When I did this it offered to make a backup (I declined because I had the iwzip) and re-created the project for v2020.3.3 Importing an iwzip will never overwrite an existing project so you will have a new project (usually "projectname(1)". There can be some confusion because all old and new projects are in the same folder. I don't like confusion, so I set the default folder (Open WX5, select the gear) to a new folder (in my case WX5-Pro 2020.3)

Hello again

I have imported the freshly maked iwzip-fil. But when it is almost finish, it gives this error-message (sorry, but it is in danish). DKK Esbjerg-backup is the name of the project.

Sorry to be so helpless....

Can you confirm that you can import your iwzip into v2020.2.6 so we know whether we have a problem with your project or the import routine in v2020.3.3

Yes, I can import to 2020.2.6 version - but in 2020.3 it just copies itself as a backup, as 2020.2.6, and nothing else.

supplement to previous post:

I have downloaded 2020.2.6 (this morning) and made a backup -iwzip-file of the project.

I have imported this file in 2020.3.3 (downloaded this morning) and it is placing itself in the window, as a file from 2020.2.6.

When i click on it - and wants to open- it after a while says (translatede from danish) that "the object-referece is not ready for an object".

And then the programme stops.

I can open the same fil in version 2020.2.6 - no problem.

Per, please confirm that if you open v2020.2.6 and select import, then open your new iwzip file that the project opens and works correctly (to verify there is no error in your existing project)

In the interim I have marked this post for Incomedia's attention because if it imports to v2020.2.6 and not v2020.3.3 then there may be a problem with the latest version. If this is the case they may need your new iwzip file in order to reproduce the error.
