Good afternoon

As Andre mentioned, it is unclear to me whether the images disappeared from the project itself and the preview too or online only.

If they disappeared online-only, did the upload fix it?

If they disappeared in the software, did all of them disappear or just some? Where were those images located on your computer? It is possible that you moved the folder?

Keep me posted here

Thank you

Stefano

I allowed the program to update to 2021.1, but I refrained from uploading anything to the server as I have followed 3 topics about the upgrade. There was an instance in the past where I upgraded, and then uploaded, and it caused some issues on the site. So whenver there is an update or upgrade that comes out, and I know I need to get some important info uploaded, I do postpone allowing any update, and I do watch the forum by searching for the new version number and watching for posts similar to this one.

And since I have had experience with previous web authoring software when transferring a data file to a new PC and then all of a sudden it doesn't accept the paths to the location of the image files, I agree with Stefano. It's possible that something might have moved. Or the software thinks it moved.

Yesterday, I did do an upload to my site. I always watch as it seems to upload a heck of a lot of files that I know have not changed. And then after, I go to the site to make sure it comes up, I test one thing in the cart, I look over the page I know I changed. And my result with the 2021.1 version was okay. I do not see any errors happening and customers around the country are still able to order products. So all looks good. No logging in issues either as a couple other people reported.

So I hope everyone will heed this advice. With future updates and upgrades to Website X5, which I hope there are dozens to come, I really like the software, DON'T rush into them. If your program is working and you need to upload some new work to your site, get that done first. Jump into the forum. Look up what anyone has written about the new update. If you see anything, such as this post from Per G., hesitate for a few days. Watch the forum, be ready. If all looks well, then of course update. From what help I have gotten from this forum on several issues, Website X5 does seem to be standing ready to address issues. They also seem fast about rectifying them. The software engineers may not be so speedy to incorporate all of our suggestions, that just takes time. Adding a function to the software is not always an overnight thing, it could take months of programming. And yes, I would like to see more customization options that we can tweak as the users. In time, it will come. This software has advanced a lot since I first checked it out back in version 11. And I did not buy it until ver. 12 when it started writing responsive web design. That was the feature that made my decision easy.
