Hi Guys
I'm fairly new to WSx5 but loving the features - thank you!
Perhaps you'd help me out with a small issue in the template editor screen?
I've got used to the template contents screen 'looking' pretty much the same as the preview screen. This is pretty much true except for the smallest resolution '480' for the site I'm designing.
Take a look at the attached. Can you see that the logo and hamburger look like they're 'chopped off' but in preview they look fine. How is that? All other resolutions for this site look the same in both views.
Thanks
Steve

Steve, I suggest that if you view your site on your mobile you will see a left-right scroll bar on the bottom of the page to indicate there is information/image, etc outside of the displayable area.
When editing the header, footer or sticky bar if you click on each object at mobile resolution you must ensure that all 8 "handles" are within the displayable area. In this example 3 of the handles are outside of the displayable area.

Hi Esahc. Yes, I guessed that about the 'handles' But if I move everything inside, when I preview it, the hamburger and the logo are too far to the right. I ideally want them so they sit closer to the left margin as they do in all other screen sizes in preview.
See screen shot
Just to clarify. 480 is the only view where I have to move them off screen so they line up in preview.
Thanks again
Steve
Hi, try to add an additional 360px Breakpoint to your project (you can do it from STEP 2 MODEL / Resolutions and Responsive Design, see attached screenshot)
I am not quite sure what is going on. There used to be an internal arbitrary width of 320px for mobile, perhaps there still is? I have a slight advantage being a pro owner, I can add a 320 resolution and continue to do so in every project to save myself having to answer such questions.
Have you perhaps set the first object on the page (welcome) to extend? If so this would make the problem look worse than it is?
Ah, ok Esahc, now I've seen that: Steve P. has the EVO version so he can't add custom Breakpoints but he has to be satisfied with those proposed by default by the EVO version.
I did some checks and in fact with the last Breakpoint of 480px it happens exactly as described by Steve, if instead you add another Breakpoint (360px or even better 320px) then this problem does not occur.
Giuseppe, Steve can alter resolutions, but he cannot add any. It is always a dilemma.

Thanks for contributing Guisepoe. Just so I'm clear: is the only way to resolve this by upgrading to 'pro'?
Thanks

Sorry if this is a double-post (some connectivity issues here - I'm not seeing my posts)
Thanks for contributing Giuseppe. A question for the Mod team: Just so I'm clear, is the only way for me to resolve the issue at '480' is to upgrade from 'Evo' to 'Pro'?
Thanks
Steve
Hello Steve
If what you wish to do is add a Breakpoint, then yes. Only the Pro version allows for this
With the Evo version, you will have to stick to the given resolutions and design from there, since unfortunately no other breakpoint can be specified
Thank you

Thanks Stefano
I actually just want WYSIWYG at the 480 breakpoint. Is it a bug?
Cheers

One for the Moderators...
Not sure I got an answer to this from earlier in the week...

In other words, WHY is the '480' breakpoint layout looking weird? - see attached.
If I adjust the handles to inside the workspace (so it looks right when I'm editing) the objects are in the wrong place when I preview the page. Is this a bug? Have I got to live with it? It doesn't seem to occur when I'm editing any other breakpoint, just '480'.
Thanks
Steve
Steve, way back in 2015 (v12) I bit the bullet primarily because I couldn't stand being limited to 4 resolutions, an expensive jump but incomedia have subsequently offered a few extra features that almost justify the cost.
Somewhere on this helpcenter from a time when it was call answers there is acknowledgement that mobile view is internally set to 320 (but I cannot find it sorry).
I have no idea what your site looks like, but I did play with an infinite width website design as an example once.
This is a (poor) example of an infinite width website with break points as required to deal with specific tablet/phone resolutions. The example has 10 but in evo you could have 0, 320, 480, 720 & infinite using on object per row and the extend feature.
https://www.esahc.com/infinite/
PS my wish is to be able to apply extend to a row when there is more than one object on it

Hi Esahc
Thanks for the quick reply. When I wrote the original post, I wasn't in a position to test-publish. I did that a few hours ago and my worry that I'd get horizontal scroll bars on a mobile was unfounded - see screen shot. So, even though the hamburger and the logo are off-screen in the 'design view' (and in theory that means they'd be partly off-screen when published) - it all looks OK. Happy days!
Steve
Looks great!! (I will explore placing objects too far left to see what happens on my sites when time permits)
