All my evo versions will not open!  en

I have no used any of my Website X5 programs for roughly a month, I wanted to update content on my websites. But website evo 11, 12, 14, 15, 16 will not run!, when I click on the app windows asks if I want to alow this program to make changes, clicking yes does nothing. I have copied the licence file into the program file to no avail.

There have been no other programs installed or updates since I last used the program. I have not logged in any different.

I'm running Window 10 with the latest updates which have been installed AFTER I had this problem and they have not made a diference either.

I have even tried uninstalling one of the versions and reinstalling it, it won't even allow it to get to the licence input box.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Hello.
1) Run the program with administrator rights.
2) Temporarily disable antivirus, firewall and any other protection.

Hi Aleksej,

Thank you for your suggestions, I had already tried to run as administrator, but just tried disabling antivirus and firewall but again to no avail.

I dont understand it as I have not changed anything and for all my X5 versions not to work its strange!

Anymore Ideas are welcome though.

Stuart

Stuart, whilst waiting on Incomedia, have you recently run Malwarebytes in your PC?

Also, did any recent win updates mess with your user directories? I have 2 customers who apparently lost everything, only to find all docs etc in user called temp. Any software that required registration was then difficult

Hi Stuart,

thank you for getting in touch.

  • Go to the Windows Control Panel and uninstall the software there
  • Delete the folders which may still be on the software installation path and in the AppData\Local\Incomedia\ path.
  • In you have more than one user on the PC you need to repeat this for each user.
  • Then download the program from the "My Downloads" section of your programs and install them again.

Thank you for keeping me posted. Kind regards.
