Upgrade to v2020.3.4 pro from v2019.3.17 pro - locked files not working  en

I purchased v2020 pro after my license for v2019 pro had expired but continued to work in v2019. I have now imported the files from v2019.3.17 to the latest version of v2020.3.4. After uploading from v2020.3.4 to the internet, the website works fine but none of my locked pages are working. It gives the message "This page isn't working at the moment. www.mnkre.com can't currently handle this request. HTTP ERROR 500.

I have checked Access Management and all users and passwords are intact. Have also checked Database management and everything seems fine.

Any help is appreciated.

Hello.

  1. Delete all site files from the hosting and unload it again (completely).
  2. Try changing the PHP version to 7.1-7.4.
  3. Check the server error logs.
  4. Write to the technical support service of your hosting.

Hi,

Many thanks however I don't think this is going to solve the problem. If the error was on hosting side, it will not let any of the pages publish at all. I did mention that all pages other than locked (password protected) pages are not working.

Any other idea?

Hello Manoj,

If the error was on hosting side, it will not let any of the pages publish at all.

I am sorry but that simply isn't correct.  Aleksej's advice is absolutely spot on.  Unfortunately this is a hosting issue, and it will be necessary for you to check the error logs on the server and liaise with your webhost in order to solve it.

It is quite possible to upload and serve HTML files from a server, whilst PHP scripts throw errors.  It may be that the PHP installation on your server is not configured correctly for use with WebSite X5 version 2020.  Locked pages in WebSite X5 use PHP:

What are the minimum requirements for the server?

However, .htaccess files could also cause a 500 error on your server.  Have you checked these?

I also recommend clearing your browser cache and cookies.  But this is for other reasons....  it will not help with the server error.

In the meantime, we'll flag the thread for Incomedia's attention.
