Header and footer problems  en

Hi,

I have been working on my project for about 20 days, but currently, I am having some problems with the header and footer sections. Below I sorted the problems that I have. If somebody knows a solution, I kindly request help.

1. I designed a simple header in Photoshop in 1920 x 230 px. Basically, the upper side of the header is white, and it has a 45 px height color tape for the underside of the navigation menu. It works well when I preview the site in my browser, but once I uploaded the site to the server, the header looks completely white and it doesn't show my header. I had arranged the header background and header as 230 px in the template structure settings. For another test, I deleted my project from the server, I opened a new blank project, and created the same template. I uploaded it as just a template to the server but it doesn't show my header again.

2. I also created a footer in 1920 x 300 px. It is basically a picture. In template structure settings, I inserted this picture in the footer background for each page section (from zero to 1150 and above px sections for responsive design). But my problem is that once I uploaded the project to the server, it shows me a very old footer that I used in the first days of my project. I had already deleted and replaced this footer with the new one. It also works well in my internal browser but shows the wrong footer in the server. I even don't know how that old footer went to the server despite I deleted it.

Thanks in advance for any probable help.

All the best,

HI Fatih A.

Clear your web browser's cache. Disable the server cache during the test period.

Delete the entire contents of the web host and then reload the entire web page.

Fatih, if we can assume that your website displays correctly in preview, then as Antal said, clearing the browser cache (ctrl+F5) should fix the issue. If not then I would do a CTRL+PREVIEW to flush the preview cache and rebuild the website with your new header and footer, I would then Upload ALL (not just new and changed).

Clearing entire contents online may be necessary, but only if alternative measures do not work.

If the problem persists, please provide a link to your website.

Dear Antal and Esahc,

Thank you all for the help.

I solved the problem in a different way.

I had to delete all my site from the server and re uploaded it by using Filezilla ftp program. Then all worked well.

I am not sure what was the problem with internal ftp. While using the ftp section in step 5, thre are two options called "use passive ftp" and "enable gzip compression". May these options be the source of the problem? Should i deselect them when i do new ftp transfer. Because using internal ftp is much practical than Filezilla.

Thanks,

Antal, the built in FTP engine would have yeilded the same result as FileZilla. It was a matter of uploading and replacing all files.
